Drippler’s Gadget News App Reaches 500,000 Downloads on the Android Market

Drippler, a free update service for gadget owners, has reached 500,000 downloads on the Android market. After releasing version 3.28 in November and version 3.30 in December, with several enhancements and new features, Drippler’s downloads are continually growing.
Recent updates included improved algorithms and personalization. Better landscape support was added. The ‘Popular’ tab now includes ‘Highlights’ that shows the hottest “Drips” (updates) about the user’s device. The app can also be stored on the SD card. Future app versions will include push notifications, more social features, and automatic recognition of the user’s Android model.

At this point over one percent of all U.S. Android users have downloaded Drippler on their device, and we’re just getting started!” Currently over half a million updates about apps, software updates and accessories are consumed monthly through Drippler’s app.
Drippler’s Android app updates users on their specific Android model. “Drips” range from ROM updates and usage tips to app recommendations and accessory reviews. The app supports all popular Android smartphones such as Google Galaxy Nexus, Samsung Galaxy S II, HTC Evo 4G and Motorola Droid RAZR, as well as Android tablets.
