Good post-production processing of an image is a lot like good surgery. It’s a matter of forming good habits. A good surgeon has a plan of approach to every surgical procedure. He uses the same instruments in the same order every time he does the same procedure. That way the nurse knows what he’s going to do and the instruments are in the right order to hand him. Adobe has tried to put the tools for post-production processing of an image in the right order for us. So, our job is to form good habits in our approach to processing our images in Lightroom®. Like the surgeon, it doesn’t mean we’ll use every tool every time, it’s up to us to decide which of the tools available to us we need to use.
